This is a simple painting about lost love. The dances of Spain often have this component in them and my painting is based on a Flamenco dance move which is taught by saying ‘Pick the apple, taste the apple, throw the apple away’. Which seems to be the way we deal with relationships. My painting depicts a lemon illustrating the bitterness of rejection. In order to have successful relationships, we must not view them as ‘Fairy Tales’ but instead as growing experiences. If we are open to communicating then we can work on relationships rather than throwing them away.
