    Place of birth: Hereford, U.K

  • Place of current residence: London, U.K
  • Where did you learn to be an artist? Foundation course in Hereford. I also did various courses in London, whist working in Theatre. But after spending nearly 2 years in Indian, it felt like I woke up.
  • Which artists inspire you? Duchamp, Pollock, Bacon excite me, also Miro, not just their work but the great minds they had.
  • Describe your own art work:  My work is a little uncomfortable for most, as I indulge. Rather than letting my mind lead the painting, I let the painting lead my mind. I gamble with each piece, almost spoiling a picture, just to see where it goes.
  • Why do you make art? A happy nice picture bores me. Most do that. I like to challenge the very way we think. Having not got far but enough, to carry on as I believe we have so much to learn.
  • Why do you think art is important?  Magic is clearly seen in painting.
  • Which piece of your own art work do you like best?  Favourite piece is the one I am doing now as the now for me is all there is.
  • What is the worst piece of art work you have seen? The worst art for me is money. (e.g. Diamond skull by him).
  • Hobbies/ areas of interest (other than art): Stepping into the 4th which includes everything plus more.
  • Favourite quote: ‘I have forced myself to contradict myself in order to avoid conforming to my own taste,’ – Marcel Duchamp.
  • Favourite colour:  All.
  • Favourite poem: Poetry is great I like it all, even bad poetry.
  • Favourite motivational quote:  Arse, MOVE!
  • How do you combat creative blocks? Creative blocks are great for me. As it is only ourselves telling us we have one. When they come I just paint, even rubbish.
