    Place of birth: Portsmouth, U.K

  • Place of current residence: Malaga Province, Spain
  • Where did you learn to be an artist? I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, but I learnt to be an artist at ‘The University of Life’.
  • Which artists inspire you? Lots, especially Chagall, Dali, Burne Jones, Bill Lewis, Ella Guru, Figurative Street Graffiti Art.
  • Describe your own art work: A combination of Expressionism, Orphic Cubism, with a bit of Surrealism and Graffiti thrown into the mix.
  • Why do you make art? It gives me a voice and satisfies an emotional craving.
  • Why do you think art is important?  Art is an international language of communication. Everything you look at around you was drawn at some stage of its creation. Art is a visual diary reflecting our history, societies and cultures.
  • Which piece of your own art work do you like best?  ‘The Battle’, because I learnt so much about myself, societies and different philosophies.
  • What is the worst piece of art work you have seen? There are so many to choose from. Possibly rooms of nothing – a few artists have exhibited these in different forms.
  • Hobbies/ areas of interest (other than art): Music, dancing, my children, sociology, philosophy and science.
  • Favourite quote:  ‘Never throw in the towel, use it to wipe of the sweat and keep going.’ Unknown
  • Favourite colour: Purple, but also any colour which is on the cusp of changing into another.
  • Favourite poem: ‘If’ by Rudyard Kipling
  • Favourite motivational quote: I’m a quote fanatic, but if I had to choose one it would be  ‘Be the change that you want to see in the world Mahatma Gandhi’
  • How do you combat creative blocks? I haven’t had a block in years. I have the opposite problem – too many ideas and not enough time to carry them all out.
